Located at 1150 Bald Hill Road, Warwick, RI, 02886, THE RI RIDDLE ROOM: ESCAPE GAME, WARWICK is a hidden gem.
Four of us entered the Forest of Fortune, which, in February, according to Byron Delmonico, Owner and CEO of The Riddle Room, was one of the top-booked games, along with Vanishing at the Velmont Hotel.

Currently, there are four room adventures to choose from: Forest of Fortune, a back-woods treasure hunt game, Vanishing at the Velmont Hotel, a paranormal hotel game; the Imaginasium of Intrigue, a video game fantasy land game; and a Rocky Point Park game; an amusement park game themed after the famous Rocky Point Park. A new game/space is planned for launch in 2024/2025 and will expand to the 2,300 sqft space in our existing building in Warwick.

We entered the building and were greeted by two cheery staff members. Once checked in we were escorted to our room door. They informed us we would have one hour to solve the mystery and escape, but that at no time were we actually locked in the room. We entered the room, and the clock started. Would we be able to solve the mystery of the room (I don't want to give too many details and spoil it!)

I thought this would be easy peasy; I mean, I nailed every Blues Clues episode, I always knew who the bad guy was in Scooby-Doo, so how hard could this be!? Boy was I in for a surprise! The first few moments we spent looking around the room, my youngest looked for things marked "Clue," but that was not how this room worked.
Staff told us that at any time we needed help, we could just ask. After about 15 minutes, I finally asked for some help.

We knew we only had one hour, and there was a light timer in the room showing us how much time we had left to escape. My teen and hubby were hard at work trying to connect all the found clues, while my youngest nature-loving kiddo and I were busy identifying all the leaves, thinking that was a clue..."Oh look, a lily pad, but hey, over here is a sassafras leaf...," the attention to detail was impressive!
As the time and lights ticked down, we actually unlocked some of the locks! We made it into another part, and then our time was up. Staff came back in and told us we did a great job, even without solving the mystery of the room. As we piled back into the van, the kids couldn't stop talking about it! My teen had a blast and now is planning a visit with friends; our youngest wants to do it again, but with our other kiddos who couldn't make it.

This is a great idea and an excellent place to enjoy family time. You cannot only book time for yourself, family, or friends, but you can also book your birthday party there! We loved every minute of the adventure, but thankfully for us, The Riddle Room also offers a 50% discount (Excludes Saturdays) for replaying the same room, so if you don't escape, you can always come back and get the rest of the experience for a great value.
I asked the owner, Byron Delmonico, what motivated him to bring this to Rhode Island.
"I always wanted to own my own business, and this business combines my passion for hospitality and entertainment with my passion for art and discovery. I use these passions to provide a unique, people-first organization that is employee-focused to give them the tools to provide the best experiences for our customers. Our goals are to take our brand to the next level opening a new game with more advanced technology and interactions and bring a national level quality experience to the area. We just want to keep making smiles, starting with our employees, to our customers and even the community."

To start your own family adventure, book your room today! Pricing for the general public to attend is $85 for a private escape room, which includes the first two tickets; additional tickets can be purchased for $29 each for up to 10 participants per room.
The birthday party package is an additional $100,
which gives the group access to our private party room for one hour after the experience.
