4th of July Celebrations & Fireworks in Rhode Island

Here is a list of 4th of July celebrations in the area. We will update this list as needed. If you know of a parade or fireworks display that is not listed, please email me!

Parades:

July 4th

4th of July Parade, Bristol - 10:30am, the parade will step-off at the corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street (Rt. 114) and ends on High Street, between State Street and Bradford Street.

Ancients & Horribles Parade, Glocester - 4:00pm, North to south along Main Street.

Block Island (New Shoreham) Legion Park - Parade starting around 11:00am at Legion Park and ends in town.

Arnold Mills July Fourth Parade Cumberland - Nate Whipple Hwy. 11:00am.

Fireworks:

July 1st

Jamestown - East Ferry Beach - The show will be viewable from the entirety of East Ferry beach, which is in downtown Jamestown on Canonicus Avenue. The 2019 Jamestown Rocket ‘Hogs Independence Day annual fireworks event returns. Music usually begins on Memorial Square at 7:30 and fireworks at 9pm. The event is organized by Rocket Hogs, a non-profit organization funded solely by donations. (Please send donation to Rocket ‘Hogs PO BOX 1776 Jamestown, RI 02835). Rain date July 6.

Pawtucket Red Sox - McCoy Stadium (after the game)

July 2nd

Newport - Newport Harbor - Best viewing is anywhere along Newport Harbor, facing west. Fireworks 9:15pm.

Beavertail State Park - Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management's quiet fireworks at Fort Adams 9 - 10pm. RI State Parks and the URI Student Veterans Organization have partnered together to create an event for the quiet viewing of the Fort Adams fireworks at Beavertail State Park for patrons with hearing sensitivity. Parking is available in lots 3 and 4. Attendees will be watching the fireworks from the other side of the bay, looking towards Newport from Jamestown. The fireworks will be distant but not loud. This event is open to the public but designed and tailored for those experiencing hearing sensitivities.

Pawtucket Red Sox - McCoy Stadium (after the game)

July 3rd

Block Island - Crescent Beach, Town Beach Pavillion, 7 Corn Neck Road. Live music starts around 7:30pm and fireworks at 9:00pm.

Bristol - Bristol Harbor at 9pm.

Cumberland - Tucker Field Mendon Road. Food trucks 5 - 9pm, music 6:30pm - 9pm and fireworks starting at 9pm. Rain date July 5.

North Kingstown - Town Beach, Beach Street - Music at 7pm and fireworks at 9pm - Rain date July 6.

North Providence - Governor Notte Park starting at 9pm. Food Court and live entertainment 6pm to 9pm. Rain date July 5

Pawtucket Red Sox - McCoy Stadium (after the game)

Scituate - Hope Jackson Fire Station at Hope Park. It's a family event! Clam cakes, burgers, hot dogs, drinks, and free chowder! Fun activities for the kids include: bounce house, face painting, shrine clowns, balloon animals, temporary tattoos, smoke trailer, glow-sticks and more starting at 5pm. Fireworks at 9pm.

July 4th

Coventry - Johnson’s Pond. Fireworks starting at 9:30pm.

Narragansett - The Independence Day Beach Party festivities will start mid-day with fun filled activities taking place on the beach. Brass Force will be playing 5pm. Fireworks at dusk.

South Kingstown - Old Mountain Field - 875 Kingstown Road. Fireworks at 9pm. Rain date July 5.

Portsmouth - Escobar's Highland Farm, 133 Middle Road - Louis Escobar will have his traditional fireworks display over the cow pastures. This event is privately funded by Louis Escobar at his dairy farm - donations welcome. Fireworks at 9:00pm.

Providence - India Point Park, starting at 9:15pm.

July 5th

Smithfield - Bryant University - Campus opens to the public at 6pm. The Navy Band will perform at 8pm and Fireworks at 9pm. Rain Date is July 8, fireworks only.

East Providence - Pierce Memorial Stadium, Mercer Street. Gates open at 6pm. Food, Concessions, and free concert featuring Kicking Hole & Crushed Velvet followed by fireworks at 9pm. Gates open at 6 pm. Rain date July 6.

July 6

Glocester - Glocester Memorial Park (behind Senior Center). Fireworks at 9:00pm. Rain date July 7.

July 7

Warwick - Oakland Beach Seawall starting at 9pm.The fireworks can also be viewed from City Park, which offers unobstructed views of the fireworks along the shoreline. Rain date July 12.
