Want to make a family friendly version? Leave out the wine and vodka, just adding some sliced apples to cider can make it a special treat. You could also add some caramel or caramel flavor to the cider and apples.
What you will need:
1 bottle of white wine, we used Pinot Grigio
1 cup caramel vodka
6 cups apple cider
3 apples, thinly sliced
Caramel sauce/topping, for garnish - optional
Brown sugar, for garnish - optional
Directions:
- Combine wine, vodka, cider and apples in large pitcher or bowl, mix well.
- Refrigerate for 2 - 3 hours or until ready to serve.
- Serve over ice and enjoy!
To wow your guests, or yourself with a fancy (and tasty) glass, follow these simple directions!
- On two separate plates, place some brown sugar and caramel - depending on the type of caramel you are using, you might have to heat it a bit first.
- Dip empty glass in caramel until rim is coated and then dip the caramel coated rim onto the brown sugar.
- Carefully fill with ice and sangria.
You can also use a mixture of cinnamon and sugar instead of brown sugar, this is delicious with hard cider and pumpkin beer too!
