Springtime at Roger Williams Park Zoo

By Carissa Carpentieri March 26, 2015
The month of March brings Easter-themed events to the Zoo for families to enjoy. At the Egg Hunt Safari on Sunday, March 29, guests can pick up a scavenger hunt card in the admissions area, and follow the clues provided to collect eggs from stations located at animal exhibits throughout the Zoo. As visitors roam around Zoo grounds, they will enjoy music, dancing and costumed characters. When the hunt is over, guests can turn in their scavenger hunt card to receive a special treat. The Egg Hunt Safari runs from 11am to 3pm (with the last Scavenger Hunt card given out at 2:30pm) and is free with Zoo admission.

Visitors can also “hop along the bunny trail” to the Zoo’s Big Backyard treehouse to meet the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 28, Sunday, March 29, Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4. The event will run from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm. The price (in addition to Zoo admission) is $10 for children ages 3-12, and $5 for toddlers ages 2 and under. Parents attend the visits for free.
