The Elf On The Shelf WINNER is: Sherri Rezendes
Congrats! You will be contacted by email with details!
Do you have an Elf of your own sent by Santa?? We do and his name is Johnny!
This will be our 4th year with Johnny. Our elf shows up the day after Thanksgiving each year and stays until Christmas Eve. My boys talk about Johnny almost the entire year and look forward to his arrival! They love how Johnny sits in different places throughout the house to watch them each day and how he follows us on weekend trips to visit family. We read the book nightly in December and last year we purchased the movie, which is also super cute!
My fingers are crossed that "Johnny" is truly magical and having him around can convince my 3 crazy little boys to listen to their mommy :)
About The Elf On The Shelf - A Christmas Tradition:
Mother-daughter writers Carol Aebersold and Chanda Bell collaborated with illustrator Coë Steinwart on a charming book that answers the timeless question of how Santa happens to know who’s been naughty and who’s been nice. Based on a tradition Aebersold used with her own children, the Christmas elf provides families with a new way to celebrate the holiday by making the most of a child’s sense of wonder.
Sometime during the holiday season, Santa sends a scout elf to each home to watch over the children’s behavior. The elf gets its Christmas magic when the family gives it a name of its own. Each night, the elf flies home to Santa with a report on who has been naughty or nice that day, only to return the next morning for another day of watching and listening. Finding out where the elf lands each day becomes a big part of the fun. Children may talk to their elf but cannot touch it. Its magic depends upon that one rule, which helps little ones learn self-control while enhancing their appreciation for all the ways their elf can come and go, in order to keep Santa in the know.
